Vendor Discount

• Another discount method, was added to the Vendor Policy screen of Vendor Properties to accommodate changes in the book industry.

• The new discount method option is “Number of days in publication by Product Type”.

• When selected the purchasing agent will calculate the discount based on the product type, and the days since publication. 

• The days in publication field is a method of automatically classifying a product as front list or backlist based on the length of time it has been in publication.

• Products without a publication date or with a product type that is mot defined in the vendor list will not calculate a discount.

• Similar to the other discount methods, net priced items do not calculate a discount.
