The steps are the same from AWS.

The only difference is you do not need to make the special sa user in SQL.
Instead use the regular sa user and password.

Our SQL install will add a password of ComputacSQL2017, but if they have SQL2012 on the server the password will be ComputacSQL2012 so you will need to change the sa password on the offline database instance.

From the offline POS server:

∙ Launch Connection Manager from that PC.

∙ Modify the connection

o Everything should be the same except the server.

Change the server
- COPY FROM EXISTING SETUP

∙ Test and save.

∙ Launch IMRCHNT and navigate to Tools, Admin, Offline POS server.

∙ Call up the POS server in Properties.

∙ The offline settings should be the same, but test to confirm.

∙ Save the settings even if you do not make any changes. The save will make a link between the databases.

o If you get a message about linked server something went wrong.

∙ Once the offline settings are saved, logout of IMRCHNT.

∙ Launch Connection manager again.

∙ Use the dropdown list to select the offline server. Use the dropdown even if the number appears correct.

∙ Test and save the settings.

∙ If you want to update the offline server now launch IMRCHNT from the offline server PC and connect to the regular database.
