Systems Options


  • The Product tab has an option called “Replace foreign characters from description”. (628)
  • When checked characters with accents such as the acute (é), grave (è), circumflex (â, î or ô), tilde (ñ), umlaut and dieresis will be replaced with a common unaccented character.
  • Only the product description field is replaced. The formal description remains unchanged.


Product Properties


  • The venstock inventory control will no longer display a message when the product is not found on Venstock.
  • Instead the not found message appers in the control so the user does not need to click the ok button.

  • Added a Full Amount button to the Cash, Check, Simple, and Foreign tender screens.
  • When pressed, the tender is accepted with the remaining amount of the sale. 
  • Any amount previously enter will be replaced by the remaining amount of the sale.

POS Quick Key Menus


  • A color button was added to the Quick Key menu properties form.
  • Each button can be assigned a color.
  • Colors for menus created via a query or café options look to the Product Type parameter for the button color. 


  • The tool bar buttons on the top of the Quick key menu can be customized by register.


  • A system option was added that allows the quick key menu to be locked so that it cannot be moved or resized.


Product Type Properties


  • The Product Type parameter was expanded to include color options for the Quick Key menu.
  • There is a color option of each industry.
  • When a Query Menu or Café Option menu is generated, [i]merchant will look to the product type and industry to get the button color.


System Options


  • A check box was added to the POS tab that will lock the Quick key menu size and location.
  • A locked Quick key menu is shared across all PCs.
  • Press Control-Home while in POS with the Quick Key menu displayed to override the lock and set the menu size and positon.

Register Properties


  • A check box was added to that allows a custom toolbar menu to be created for the register.
  • When a custom tool bar is unassigned, the legacy buttons are in use.
  • The custom tool bar is similar to the quick key menu, but will stay in place on the top of the quick key form.
  • Keyboard keys cannot be assigned to the custom toolbar menu.

  • Any number of buttons can be added to the custom toolbar. POS will wrap the buttons top multiple line based on the quick key menu width.
  • The toolbar menu can define Menus, Queries, and Functions. Products and Services cannot be added to the toolbar.
  • The custom toolbar menu allows faster navigation to different menus or functions. By placing different menus in the tool bar the need to close or return to a previous menu is eliminated.
